A Chinese research team has developed a new system for the quick identification of black and smelly water using satellite remote sensing technology. The system was developed by the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has been implemented in 23 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country with an identification accuracy of 79 percent.
The China National Space Administration (CNSA) on Thursday published high-resolution images of Mars captured by the country's Tianwen-1 probe. These images include two panchromatic images and one color image, said the CNSA.
Chinese researchers have recently published the world's first gene database of the lotus plant in an international journal to facilitate studies of the widely grown aquatic plant species.
Astronomers at the National Astronomical Observatories (NAOC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences cooperated with researchers from the United States and Australia and reported the discovery in three papers published in the Science and The Astrophysical Journal.
